Director of Business Development

And the Director of Business Development is the connector at the center of it all. In this high-impact role, you’ll be the tip of the spear—responsible for identifying new opportunities, building lasting referral relationships, and driving revenue across all divisions. You'll collaborate closely with company leadership, estimators, and operations teams to generate leads, expand market presence, and fuel strategic growth throughout Northern Virginia and surrounding regions. You’re not just selling a service—you’re opening doors, earning trust, and building a legacy. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Business Development & Revenue Growth Lead all new business development efforts across CaseCo Build and maintain a pipeline of qualified prospects across commercial, residential, and insurance sectors Develop and close strategic partnerships with insurance adjusters, property managers, GCs, and real estate professionals Set and pursue quarterly revenue targets with full accountability to the Partner Track all BD activity in CRM with weekly pipeline and revenue reporting Referral Network & Strategic Partnerships Establish and grow referral programs that generate consistent, measurable inbound revenue Represent CaseCo and Merit at industry events, trade associations, and community networking opportunities Build long-term relationships that generate repeat and referral business across all divisions Proposals, Bids & Negotiations Collaborate with operations and leadership on proposals, bid strategy, and contract terms Lead client-facing presentations with confidence and credibility Own the full sales process from first contact through signed contract and collected revenue Brand & Market Presence Represent CaseCo and Merit professionally in all market-facing interactions Partner with leadership on brand positioning and visibility in target markets Support marketing initiatives that amplify business development efforts across all four brands Reporting & Accountability All BD activity must be logged in the CRM in real time — every call, meeting, proposal, referral, and deal. If it is not in the CRM, it did not happen Weekly: minimum activity targets for outreach, meetings held, and pipeline updates — reviewed every week with leadership Monthly: pipeline review, revenue closed, new relationships added, and commission reconciliation — reviewed on the first week of each month Quarterly: revenue targets, KPI scorecard review, goal-setting for the next quarter — reviewed with the Partner at the start of each quarter A KPI scorecard with specific weekly, monthly, and quarterly goals will be established within your first 30 days and updated each quarter Failure to maintain CRM discipline is a performance issue — consistent gaps in logging will be addressed through the formal performance review process EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS 5+ years of B2B business development or outside sales experience Background in construction, restoration, insurance, plumbing, or skilled trades strongly preferred Proven track record of hitting or exceeding revenue targets with measurable results Existing network in insurance, commercial real estate, or property management is a strong advantage Experience managing a CRM and delivering data-driven pipeline reports Comfortable working across multiple brands and business lines simultaneously IDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILE A proven closer — you open relationships and convert them into signed contracts Self-motivated and hungry; you do not need to be managed to perform Disciplined in CRM usage, pipeline reporting, and follow-through Excellent communicator — confident, credible, and compelling in front of decision-makers Resourceful and resilient — you find a way when others find excuses Someone who takes full ownership of outcomes, not just activities Represents our brands with professionalism and integrity at every touchpoint Health, Vision, Dental, 401(k) matching Life Insurance Unlimited PTO Company Phone / Computer #J-18808-Ljbffr
