Business Central Presales Engineer

The Business Central Presales Engineer serves as a trusted advisor throughout the sales process, partnering with Account Executives, Solution Architects, and Delivery teams to help prospective customers evaluate and adopt Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and related Microsoft technologies. This role leads discovery conversations, solution design workshops, demonstrations, and proposal support activities while helping customers understand how Velosio's solutions can address business challenges and drive operational improvements. The ideal candidate combines strong Business Central expertise with consultative communication skills and a passion for helping organizations modernize their business systems.

Your day might look like:

• Partner with sales teams to support opportunities from qualification through contract execution.
• Lead discovery sessions to understand customer business processes, challenges, objectives, and requirements.
• Design and present Business Central solutions aligned with customer needs and industry best practices.
• Deliver compelling demonstrations of Dynamics 365 Business Central tailored to customer use cases and business scenarios.
• Collaborate with Solution Architects and Delivery Consultants to develop implementation approaches and solution recommendations.
• Support solution scoping, effort estimation, and proposal development activities.
• Assist with responses to RFPs, RFIs, and customer technical inquiries.
• Showcase complementary Microsoft technologies including Power Platform, Microsoft 365, Azure, and Copilot capabilities.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to customers throughout the evaluation process.
• Participate in webinars, events, and marketing initiatives to promote Velosio's Business Central practice.
• Stay current on Business Central product enhancements, licensing, and Microsoft roadmap developments.

What you'll bring:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Accounting, Supply Chain, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, Dynamics NAV, or comparable ERP solutions.
• Experience in pre-sales, consulting, solution architecture, ERP implementation, or customer-facing solution design roles.
• Strong understanding of ERP business processes including finance, accounting, inventory management, purchasing, and project operations & accounting.
• Ability to translate customer business requirements into scalable solution recommendations.
• Experience delivering software demonstrations and presenting to executive and business audiences.
• Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
• Customer-focused mindset with strong problem-solving and consultative selling capabilities.
• Ability to work collaboratively with sales, consulting, delivery, and leadership teams.
• Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central certifications preferred.
• Experience with Dynamics NAV migrations and upgrade projects preferred.
• Experience with Power Platform, Power BI, Azure, Fabric, or Microsoft 365 solutions preferred.
• Experience supporting manufacturing, distribution, professional services, nonprofit, or other ERP-focused industries preferred.
• Microsoft partner consulting or implementation experience preferred.
• Familiarity with ERP licensing and solution estimation preferred.
