Job Description

This role is responsible for operating injection molding machines and related production equipment, performing quality inspections, handling materials, and supporting production goals while maintaining a safe, organized, and efficient manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate injection molding machines and related production equipment in accordance with established procedures and work instructions.
• Monitor machine performance, identify issues, and make appropriate adjustments within defined parameters to maintain consistent output and product quality.
• Perform quality inspections on molded parts to verify they meet specifications and established quality standards.
• Use measurement tools such as tape measures, calipers, and gauges to inspect parts and confirm dimensional accuracy.
• Operate multiple machines simultaneously while maintaining productivity, quality, and safety expectations.
• Safely operate forklifts to move raw materials, finished products, and production supplies within the facility.
• Complete production and quality records accurately using basic computer systems, including data entry and production reporting.
• Follow all safety procedures, work instructions, and company policies to ensure a safe work environment.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area by following good housekeeping practices.
• Assist with other production duties as assigned, including molding, assembly, machine operation, changeovers, troubleshooting, and basic maintenance or repair support.

Essential Skills

• Previous manufacturing experience.
• Experience performing quality inspections in a manufacturing environment.
• Injection molding experience (preferred but strongly valued).
• Forklift operating experience.
• Ability to operate injection molding machines and related production equipment.
• Ability to use measurement tools such as tape measures, calipers, and gauges.
• Experience managing or operating multiple machines simultaneously.
• Basic computer skills, including data entry and production reporting.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to follow safety procedures and work instructions consistently.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Physical ability to frequently lift and move materials weighing up to 35 pounds.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive motions throughout the shift.
• Ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery, noise, and varying temperatures.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with injection molding operations, including setup, changeovers, and basic troubleshooting.
• Background in machine operation, molding, and assembly work.
• Familiarity with reading and understanding basic blueprints or production specifications.
• Experience supporting maintenance or repair activities on production equipment.
• Demonstrated ability to maintain productivity standards while upholding strict quality and safety requirements.

Work Environment

This position operates in a manufacturing facility with exposure to production machinery, noise, and varying temperatures. The role is scheduled on 2nd shift, typically from 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Team members spend most of their shift standing, walking, bending, reaching, and performing repetitive motions while operating machines and handling materials up to 35 pounds. The environment emphasizes strict adherence to safety procedures, proper use of equipment such as forklifts and measurement tools, and maintaining clean, organized work areas.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.47 - $25.63/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
