Job Summary: Medical Surgical Floor Registered Nurse (RN) Springfield, Illinois. The organization is seeking a Medical Surgical Floor RN to provide acute care to adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. This role involves delivering patient care that includes specialized skills such as PICC line management, starting IVs, and caring for patients requiring tracheostomy support. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Days, 12-hour shifts (3x12 or 4x12). Minimum 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Active Illinois (IL) RN license; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Minimum 2 years of acute care/medical surgical nursing experience; Experience with blood product administration; colostomy/ileostomy management/care; Continuous Bladder Irrigation (CBI); feeding tube care and management; Patient Controlled Analgesia (PCA); PICC line management; starting and maintaining IVs; surgical drains; tracheostomy care/management; and wound care/wound vac.
• Preferred Qualifications: Cerner experience.
• Additional Information: Will work every other weekend. Weekend scheduling follows rotation rules, and additional weekend shifts may be required if time off is requested that falls on a weekend. PICC line management and experience with starting IVs are required. Experience with tracheostomy and laryngectomy patients is not required, but willingness to learn and provide care for these patients is required. Will float as needed within scope to meet facility needs.
• Submission Requirements: Provide 2-3 interview times upon submission. Submit Social Security Number (SSN) and date of birth (DOB) at time of submittal.
