NDDOT Starting Salary: $6,022 / month

At the North Dakota Department of Transportation, we owe our success to our people and processes. As an Account Budget Specialist I I in our Financial ManagementDivision you will be a supportive force and an integral team member responsible for and/or assisting with various programs and Peoplesoft modules that are time sensitive and require both analytical and computer technical skills. The ideal person for this position will be a problem solver with excellent communication skills and impeccable attention to detail. The ability to multitask, be a self-starter but also a team player is essential to this position.


Job Duties include:

• Review payment vouchers and employee expenses, correct as necessary
• Enter vouchers for payment
• Maintain vendor and employee data in SharePoint and FileNet
• Analyze and correct coding on p-card transactions
• Payroll Accountant
• Reconcile vendor statements and insurance billings, correct discrepancies
• Upload state fleet vouchers and review for accuracy

Minimum Qualifications


To be successful in this role, you will need to be able to work in a fast-paced environment with the ability to manage multiple requests at one time. Excellent communication skills, experience with preparing worksheets, preparing fiscal analysis, reviewing expenditures and problem-solving are preferred.


To be considered for this position, you must have a bachelor's degree in accounting, or related degree with a major in accounting, and one year of professional accounting and/or auditing experience.
