In this position, you’ll play an active role in the design and development of features for our cloud-based commercial tax software product. You’ll work on a distributed team of software developers, as well as collaborate with our quality assurance, project management, and product management teams. Some of the things you’ll be doing:• Collaborate proactively with a distributed team, including developers, quality assurance, project management, and product management teams to deliver quality software in a fast-paced environment. • Participate in the daily standup to keep the team informed and on track. • Write quality code to create new features and resolve issues. • Peer review your colleagues’ code and suggest improvements. Testing is a shared responsibility, including unit testing and integration testing automation. • Remain up to date with cutting-edge technology and experiment with and learn new technologies, including recommending and implementing those technologies. • This is a versatile role that will require diving into many areas. Even if you don’t have direct experience, you should be comfortable with uncertainty and be excited to learn. • Coach and mentor more junior software engineers What technical skills, experience and qualifications do you need?• 6+ years of full stack software design and development experience • Experience with C#, .NET, ASP.NET, Typescript, React. Experience with modern front-end frameworks such as Next.js, Vue.js, Svelte is a plus• Experience with Cloud providers such as Azure, AWS or Google Cloud. Specific details for this position will be discussed during the interview process. 5+ years of experience in software development, with a strong focus on React, Next.js, and .NET. Proficiency in Docker containerization and Azure deployment is a must. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing requirements. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a proven track record of working effectively in a team. Experience with agile development methodologies and a commitment to continuous improvement. A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field is preferred. Familiarity with cloud computing concepts and best practices is an asset. Knowledge of software design patterns and best practices for scalable and maintainable code. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. A passion for technology and a desire to stay updated with the latest industry advancements. Develop and maintain software applications using React, Next.js, and .NET frameworks. Utilize Docker for containerization and deploy applications on Azure cloud platform. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver high-quality solutions. Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, ensuring smooth system operations. Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to improve code quality. Stay updated with the latest technologies and industry trends, proposing innovative solutions. Mentor and guide junior team members, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing. Ensure code meets performance, security, and scalability standards.
