Physical Therapist - FT - Onsite - Mercy Clinic Town & Country

Position Overview Find your calling at Mercy! Under the general supervision of Therapy Leadership and according to departmental policies and procedures regarding referral and standards of treatment, the Rehabilitation Physical Therapist performs objective assessments and comprehensive individualized treatment programs for adult and geriatric patients. The role includes direct supervision of patients, indirect supervision of rehabilitation technicians, and general supervision of PT assistants in accordance with State Practice Acts. Responsibilities are performed in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards. Responsibilities Conduct objective assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for adult and geriatric patients. Directly supervise patient care and indirectly supervise rehabilitation technicians. Supervise PT assistants in compliance with State Practice Acts. Maintain consistent adherence to departmental policies, referral protocols, and standards of treatment. Provide therapeutic interventions and monitor progress toward goals. Ensure documentation of patient care is accurate and timely. Requirements and Qualifications Education: Bachelor, Master of Science in Physical Therapy, or Doctor of Physical Therapy. Licensure: Current/Temporary license of Physical Therapy in state of practice. Certifications: BLS certified; must be current before assigned to care for patients independently. Preferred Experience: Six months to one year experience with adult and geriatric patients; experience as a Rehabilitation Physical Therapist is preferred. Physical Requirements: Ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs on a regular basis; ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods; ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
