TITLE OF POSITION: Head Start Teacher
Major Duties and Responsibilities
Design, plan and implement the classroom program and daily activities with the teacher assistant. Write weekly lesson plans and appropriate IEP's.
Prepare and plan daily teaching materials to be utilized.
Maintain a safe and orderly environment.
Supervise activities of all children throughout entire day's activities.
Monitor and evaluate problems in each child's physical, social and emotional developmental domain and make referrals when necessary.
Maintain current up-to-date records of each child’s development.
Work cooperatively as a team to plan, coordinate and implement the education plan.
Plan and carry out room arrangements, curriculum, work schedules, daily lesson plans, and daily enrichment activities for the development of each child.
Perform other duties as assigned.
