Assistant Director of Operations

Assistant Director of Operations The Assistant Director of Operations will support Lab’s operations vision and lead a range of student and administrative processes. Responsibilities Coordinate with the Director of Operations to develop and facilitate operational initiatives. Ensure overall nutrition program compliance in collaboration with the Nutrition and Operations Manager. Manage daily student attendance processes, including student late‑arrival and early‑dismissal procedures, and process attendance excuses while communicating with families. Maintain and update student records in the SIS, including contact information, emergency contacts, schedules, and course data. Navigate the student information system (e.g., Infinite Campus) efficiently to access required information in a timely manner. Communicate with staff regarding changes and updates to student records, and assist with the transfer of records upon family request. Provide training, as needed, to new staff on the SIS platform for student attendance and scheduling. Support communication with the Infinite Campus representative and with students/families to ensure schedules and transcripts are accurate. Note academic or credit concerns, making referrals to the School Director and/or Upper School Counselor when applicable. Complete a thorough transcript audit of all high school transcripts and track necessary revisions with guidance from the 9‑12 School Director. Track missing courses and credits to ensure all students are on pace for graduation and post‑secondary plans. Assist students with scheduling, registration, changes to classes, withdrawals, and transfer of student records. Collaborate with the Infinite Campus representative to update files with class credits and grades and evaluate records for graduation requirements. Update quarterly grades and produce quarterly progress reports, bi‑annual report cards, and transcripts as requested. Assist with receptionist and student health duties as needed. Take on other responsibilities as needed and as assigned to ensure student and school success. Qualifications Able to fulfill the responsibilities listed above. Hold a Bachelor’s degree from a four‑year institution or possess relevant, qualifying experience. Maintain unquestioned integrity and commitment to Lab’s vision, mission, and growth. Hold excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. Possess exceptional organization and prioritization skills to meet competing deadlines. Comfortable with technology, experienced with Google Suite, and a quick learner of various computer applications. Demonstrate experience in, or passion for, working with diverse populations.
