Healthcare Operations & Billing Coordinator Chelmsford, Massachusetts, United States Industry: Healthcare / Medical Billing / Healthcare Administration Work Setting: Hybrid (4 Days In-Office) A healthcare organization is seeking a detail-oriented Healthcare Operations & Billing Coordinator to support medical billing operations, payment processing, provider coordination, reporting, and cross-functional operational support within a fast-paced healthcare environment. Key Responsibilities Coordinate provider coding education schedules and ongoing operational training activities. Support medical billing and payment operations including payment posting, reconciliation, and billing issue resolution within EPIC EMR. Review billing accounts, health plan documentation, and financial assistance programs to determine payment and charge adjustments. Analyze claims, billing correspondence, attorney requests, and operational documentation to ensure compliance with established protocols and contract requirements. Partner with internal departments and operational teams to resolve time-sensitive billing, scheduling, and workflow issues. Support department leadership with meeting coordination, reporting, presentations, stakeholder communications, and operational follow-ups. Perform data entry, maintain departmental inboxes, and triage customer inquiries to appropriate teams. Assist with creating and maintaining standard operating procedures, training documentation, workflow guides, and business process materials. Monitor operational workflows, assignments, and escalation items to ensure departmental turnaround times and service levels are achieved. Act as a liaison between operational teams, providers, and stakeholders to support issue resolution and process efficiency. Requirements 1+ years of experience in healthcare administration, medical billing, or medical office operations. Experience working in a medical office or healthcare operations environment. Knowledge of medical billing processes and healthcare terminology preferred. Experience with EPIC EMR systems advantageous. Strong Microsoft Office skills including Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Word. Excellent organizational, analytical, communication, and multitasking abilities. Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities in a deadline-driven environment. Strong customer service and stakeholder management skills.
