New Hope Counseling Services is actively seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Therapist to join our team in providing crucial mental health support to individuals experiencing the effects of trauma. This full-time role offers the flexibility of a remote setting, allowing you to engage with patients effectively while meeting their emotional and psychological needs from the safety of their own environment.

Work Environment\nOur work setting emphasizes a collaborative and holistic approach to mental health. As a member of our team, you will work closely with a diverse group of healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists and fellow therapists, all committed to providing integrated care. This remote position allows you the autonomy to manage your schedule within core business hours, from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, while also adapting to the needs of patients who may require flexible scheduling.
Key Responsibilities\n- \n
- Conduct thorough, trauma-informed assessments to understand each patient’s trauma history and individual needs. \n
- Develop, implement, and regularly update personalized treatment plans that focus on helping patients recover from trauma. \n
- Utilize evidence-based therapeutic practices, including but not limited to Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) as well as Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) during both individual and group therapy sessions. \n
- Provide timely crisis intervention to patients experiencing trauma-related emergencies, ensuring emotional stabilization and safety. \n
- Collaborate with psychiatrists and a multidisciplinary team to ensure a cohesive treatment approach, enhancing overall patient care. \n
- Educate patients and their families about coping mechanisms and the impacts of trauma, empowering them with tools for recovery. \n
- Maintain comprehensive and confidential records in compliance with legal and ethical standards, using electronic health record (EHR) systems efficiently. \n
- Engage in regular case consultations, team meetings, and professional development to stay current on best practices in trauma therapy. \n
You will primarily work with individuals who have experienced trauma, including those with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and complex trauma. Our clients often present with a range of challenges including anxiety, depression, and dissociative disorders. Your role in working through these complex issues is vital in providing them with the tools and support necessary for healing.
Qualifications\n- \n
- A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution. \n
- Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), Psychologist, or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of California. li> Demonstrated ability and desire to work with trauma-impacted clients.\n
- Strong interpersonal communication skills, with an emphasis on empathy and understanding. \n
- Comfortable navigating high-stress scenarios with composure. \n
- Proficient in the use of technology, specifically electronic health record (EHR) systems. \n
- A commitment to professional development and staying updated on trauma-informed care practices. \n

- At least two years of post-licensure experience working in mental health counseling environments. \n
- Specific experience delivering trauma-focused therapeutic modalities and interventions. \n
- Expertise in trauma-informed practices and resilience-building approaches. \n
