About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical/Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 1 year of acute care facility experience preferred License: Registered Nurse licensure in the state of practice required Certifications: - Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor per policy required - Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required Must-Have: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred Description: Delivers coordinated nursing care for a patient or an assigned group of patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process. Supervises and directs the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff. Coordinates care with other disciplines while utilizing critical thinking and professional discretion. Employs independent judgment in patient care situations. Collects relevant data pertinent to the patient's health or situation. Analyzes assessment data to determine diagnosis and care issues. Develops a plan that prescribes interventions to attain desired outcomes. Implements the plan and coordinates care delivery. Employs strategies to promote health and maintain a safe environment. Evaluates progress toward attaining outcomes. Identifies outcomes for the patient or the patient's situation. Collaborates with the patient, family, and healthcare providers to provide safe, humane, and caring patient care. Provides learning opportunities for patients and family members. Directly provides health information to patients, families, and the treatment team. Participates in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care. Delegates appropriately and coordinates the duties of healthcare team members. Performs other job-related duties as assigned. Commits to the safety and well-being of associates and patients.
