Sr. Java Developer

We are seeking a hands-on Java Spring Boot Developer with payment service integration experience in a high-volume retail environment to support the delivery of an enterprise retail checkout modernization program. This role will help design, build, test, stabilize, and support backend microservices that enable credit application and credit bill payment capabilities across a next-generation checkout platform, with a focus on secure API orchestration, idempotent transaction processing, resilient integrations, observability, CI/CD readiness, UAT stabilization, production rollout, and operational transition.

Required Skills & Experience

Java, Spring Boot, RESTful microservices, API orchestration, JSON payloads, request/response processing, and asynchronous callback handling.
Payment, credit, or financial services integration experience, including secure transaction processing, account lookup, payment posting, idempotency, duplicate prevention, retries, timeouts, and error handling.
CI/CD, unit testing, integration testing, code/security scanning, centralized logging, metrics, monitoring, alerting, UAT support, and production release readiness.
Experience with large-scale retail checkout, POS, mobile checkout, or store systems.
Experience with credit application, bill pay, card services, payment gateway, issuer processor, or third-party financial services integrations.


Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Familiarity with third-party credit partner integrations, including account lookup, application decisioning, payment posting, callback processing, and transaction audit trails.
Experience with Kubernetes, containerized deployments, cloud-native service patterns, service mesh concepts, or enterprise platform engineering standards.
Exposure to tools and practices such as agile work tracking, code and security scanning, centralized logging, application metrics, automated build pipelines, and production readiness reviews.
Experience operating in fixed-fee, milestone-based, or outcome-based delivery models with measurable acceptance criteria.
Relevant certifications in Java, Spring, cloud platforms, Kubernetes, security, payments, or enterprise integration.
