Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Oncology Chemo Certified Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years preferred License: State or compact license required Certifications: BLS, Chemotherapy (ONS/ONCC), OCN preferred Must-Have: ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certificate required Fundamentals certificate not accepted Travel experience required Description: Provide care and administration of chemotherapy and immunotherapy in an outpatient setting. Support patients with various cancer diagnoses as well as hematology conditions. Assist with accessing and managing ports for treatment. Monitor and manage side effects related to treatments. Educate patients and families on treatment plans and side effects. Conduct assessments and recognize abnormal lab values. Administer medications including blood products and chemotherapy agents. Implement nursing interventions for acute and chronic conditions. Ensure adherence to safety protocols in handling cytotoxic materials. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient care. Maintain accurate patient records and charting as per protocol. Uphold standards of practice and comply with regulatory guidelines. Promote a supportive environment for patients and families.
