Pizzas & Cream has been a beloved part of the West Virginia community since March 2015. What started as a backyard wood-fired oven experiment on our family farm has grown into a thriving restaurant known for handcrafted pizzas and homemade ice cream made with real ingredients and real care. We are now opening a brand-new second location in South Charleston July 2026, and we are looking for the right leader to help us bring that same community spirit to a new home.

The Role

As an Assistant Manager, you'll be a key leader in our new restaurant, working directly with the General Manager to run daily operations. You'll manage shifts, lead team members, handle inventory, and ensure every guest has a great experience. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who wants to grow with us.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily shift operations and lead team members during busy service
• Train and develop Pizza Specialists, Ice Cream Cashiers, and Shift Leads
• Create staff schedules and manage labor costs
• Oversee inventory management, ordering, and food cost controls
• Produce ice cream batches following recipes and quality standards
• Maintain food safety, cleanliness, and operational standards
• Handle customer concerns and ensure excellent service
• Open and close the restaurant following established procedures
• Step in as acting General Manager when needed

What We're Looking For

• 1-2 years of restaurant supervisory or management experience
• Ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
• Experience with scheduling, inventory, or cost management preferred
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays

Compensation & Benefits

• $16 - $18/hour (based on experience)
• Shared tip pool participation
