Your Role as a Wound Care Nurse: Assess, treat, and monitor residents with acute and chronic wounds Develop and implement individualized wound care plans and prevention strategies Conduct routine rounds to evaluate risk factors and ensure appropriate interventions Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care and treatment plans Educate and guide nursing staff on wound care protocols, prevention techniques, and best practices Monitor and ensure compliance with all wound care plans and regulatory requirements Track and report wound care data, including pressure ulcers and treatment outcomes Evaluate new admissions and existing residents for pressure ulcer risk and implement preventative measures Ensure proper supply levels of wound care materials and equipment Participate in quality improvement initiatives and support regulatory surveys Provide education and emotional support to residents and families What We're Looking For: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing Current LPN or RN license in the State of Ohio Current CPR certification Minimum of 1 year of experience in wound care required At least 3 years of experience in healthcare or long-term care preferred Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a team Highly organized with strong time-management skills Compassionate, patient-focused approach to care Caring Place Healthcare Group is an equal opportunity employer.
