High performing in a specialty means we were in the top 10% nationally of all evaluated hospitals for that specialty or procedure and condition.Northwest HealthCare, six miles west of Christian, offers 24-hour emergency care, the Sleep Disorders Center and a variety of outpatient diagnostic and imaging services.The Radiation Department is an outpatient department providing radiation therapy to not only outpatients but hospitalized patients as well. The majority of patients are in need of treatment for malignant tumors. On occasion, a benign disease will be treated and histologically benign tumors, which behave in a malignant fashion, are also treated. Patients range in age from 18 years and above. The radiation oncology department performs simulation and 3D simulation, dosimeter, and radiation treatment procedures on oncology patients to the specifications and standards established by the department Medical Director, state, and federal regulations.
