Job Title: Biller/Collector & Front Desk Assistant – Orthotics & Prosthetics
About the Role
We are seeking a versatile, fast-learning Biller/Collector & Front Desk Specialist Assistant to join our prosthetic and orthotic practice. In this dynamic role, you will serve as a vital support system for both our front desk and administrative teams. You will act as the primary backup for our Front Desk Coordinator during absences or vacations, assist with daily front desk overflow to ensure smooth patient flow, and help administration with billing, collections, and special projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Cross-train as the primary backup Patient Coordinator/Front Desk Receptionist, covering duties seamlessly during staff leave.
- Assist the front desk daily with check-ins, scheduling, phone calls, and patient intake to keep the office running on schedule.
- Support the Administration Department with billing, collections, data entry, and special projects.
- Provide a warm, welcoming experience for all patients.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with a pleasant, outgoing personality and fluently speak Spanish and English.
- Core Skills: Proven ability to multitask, prioritize under pressure, and learn new processes quickly.
- Dress Code: Business casual.
Preferred Experience
- Previous experience in the Orthotic & Prosthetic (O&P) industry strongly preferred.
- Background working across various desks in a medical practice.
- Familiarity with ICD-10 coding and managed care authorizations .
- Prior experience working with Medicare billing and insurance verification.
