Our Flint Family Pharmacy located in Flint, MI serves a diverse patient population and plays an important role in the local healthcare community. Role Description The Pharmacy Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Flint, MI, responsible for overseeing daily pharmacy operations and ensuring high-quality patient care. This position manages and supports pharmacy technicians, coordinates prescription processing, and verifies medication orders for safety, accuracy, and compliance with regulations. The Pharmacy Manager organizes and administers immunization programs, provides counseling and medication education to patients, and maintains appropriate inventory levels. Day-to-day tasks include supervising workflow, implementing best practices in pharmacy practice, maintaining documentation and regulatory records, and ensuring adherence to company policies. The role also involves collaborating with prescribers and other healthcare professionals, mentoring staff, and contributing to continuous process improvement and community outreach initiatives. Qualifications Demonstrated experience overseeing pharmacy operations and applying best practices in pharmacy and pharmacy practice. Ability to effectively supervise and develop pharmacy technicians while promoting a collaborative, patient-centered environment. Strong skills in managing prescriptions, including verification, dispensing, and patient counseling. Experience administering or coordinating immunization services and complying with related clinical and regulatory standards. Current pharmacist license in the state of Michigan (or eligibility for licensure) and good standing with relevant regulatory bodies. Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or equivalent degree from an accredited institution. Knowledge of pharmacy laws, insurance and billing processes, and quality assurance procedures. Excellent communication, leadership, organization, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
