\n Utility Operator I (Shop Helper)\n

\n Location: Hillsboro, OR\n
\n Pay: $20.00 - $22.00/hour\n

\n Are you looking to start or grow your career in manufacturing? We are seeking a Utility Operator I to support daily manufacturing operations and assist with a variety of production processes. • Deburr, grind, sand, and clean manufactured metal parts
\n
• Remove sharp edges, slag, burrs, and other surface imperfections
\n
• Operate and assist with saw equipment
\n
• Use drill press equipment for production tasks
\n
• Load and unload materials at laser, saw, and bending work centers
\n
• Stage raw materials and work-in-process according to production schedules
\n
• Sort, count, identify, and move completed parts to the next operation
\n
• Perform basic quality inspections using work instructions, drawings, and measuring tools
\n
• Maintain accurate part identification and prevent parts from being mixed
\n
• Support machine operators with material handling, cleanup, and routine production activities
\n
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
\n
• Follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements
\n
• Report quality, equipment, or material concerns to supervisors
\n

\n
• Previous manufacturing experience preferred but not required
\n
• Forklift experience preferred
\n
• Ability to read basic work instructions and part drawings
\n
• Experience using basic hand tools, grinders, sanders, and measuring tools is a plus
\n
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
\n
• Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic
\n
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
\n
• Willingness to learn and grow in a manufacturing environment
\n

• Stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift
\n
• Lift and move up to 50 pounds regularly
\n
• Bend, reach, push, pull, and perform repetitive tasks
\n
• Work around manufacturing equipment, noise, metal debris, and moving materials
\n
