About the Role
The Company is seeking a VP of Product Development to spearhead the creation of women's foundations. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the development process, with a particular focus on bra construction and pad development. This role requires a hands-on understanding of the various components involved in bra design, such as frames, wings, cups, straps, and hardware, and how these elements affect fit, performance, comfort, and product integrity. The VP will also be expected to have a high level of expertise in bra pad development, including knowledge of materials, lamination, molding, and construction options, and their impact on silhouette, comfort, quality, and cost. In addition to technical expertise, the VP of Product Development at the company will play a key role in fostering a cohesive team culture by connecting design, technical, and production teams in New York and China. The ideal candidate will be a strategic leader with the ability to bridge the gap between different functions and ensure a seamless product development process. A background in women's intimate apparel or a related field is essential, as is a deep understanding of the market and consumer needs. The role demands a creative and innovative approach to product development, as well as the ability to manage and mentor a team of professionals in the industry.
