Clinical Independence with Physician Support

Our urologist is onsite one day each week and available by phone or messaging on other clinic days for clinical questions and case discussion. You'll primarily manage outpatient visits independently, with physician consultation available when questions arise.

During physician clinic days, you'll shadow and participate in hands-on procedural training. You'll progress toward performing procedures independently as you build confidence, demonstrate competency, and both you and the physician agree you're ready.

What You'll Do

As a Nurse Practitioner, you'll play an important role in caring for patients with a wide variety of men's and women's urologic conditions in a busy outpatient specialty practice.

Responsibilities include:

• Evaluate new and established patients
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and follow-up visits
• Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the supervising physician
• Review laboratory, imaging, and diagnostic studies
• Educate patients on diagnoses, medications, treatment options, and preventive care
• Manage a broad range of men's and women's urologic conditions
• Document patient encounters accurately within the EMR
• Collaborate closely with the physician and clinical team to deliver exceptional patient care

Perform and Assist with Office-Based Procedures Including:

• Cystoscopy
• Shockwave Therapy for Erectile Dysfunction
• Prostate Biopsies
• Catheter insertions and exchanges
• Trimix patient education and injection training
• Additional office procedures as training and experience progress

Procedural responsibilities will progress with your training, demonstrated competency, and physician assessment of readiness.

Qualifications

• Active California Nurse Practitioner license
• Board Certified Nurse Practitioner (AGNP, FNP, or related specialty)
• DEA License preferred
• Urology experience is a plus, but not required
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities
• Comfortable serving as the primary onsite provider and managing outpatient visits independently, with physician consultation available
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced outpatient setting
• EMR experience preferred
• Passion for providing outstanding patient care
• Eagerness to learn and grow within a specialty practice
