Key Responsibilities\n- \n
- Conduct thorough mental health assessments to evaluate the needs and challenges faced by children and adolescents. \n
- Devise and implement individualized treatment plans that consider each client's developmental stage and family dynamics. \n
- Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions to treat a spectrum of mental health issues unique to young individuals, fostering their emotional and psychological resilience. \n
- Facilitate family therapy sessions to empower parents and caregivers in supporting healthy family environments. \n
- Collaborate closely with child psychiatrists and multidisciplinary team members to ensure cohesive and effective treatment strategies. \n
- Provide crisis intervention during mental health emergencies, ensuring the safety and well-being of children in distress. \n
- Educate patients and families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and access to community resources, promoting informed decision-making. \n
- Maintain strictly confidential records in compliance with legal and ethical standards, ensuring the privacy of our clients. \n
- Actively participate in team meetings and case consultations, contributing insights and strategies to enhance team performance and patient care. \n
- Engage in continual professional development by staying informed about current research and best practices in child and adolescent psychiatry. \n
This position focuses on children and adolescents experiencing various mental health challenges. Our practice aims to create a safe and supportive atmosphere where young patients and their families can feel understood, heard, and empowered to navigate their mental health journeys effectively.
Qualifications\n- \n
- A Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required. \n
- Must possess current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Texas. \n
- At least two years of post-licensure experience in clinical mental health settings, particularly focusing on children and adolescents, is preferred. \n
- In-depth knowledge of child and adolescent mental health disorders, along with proficiency in evidence-based treatment modalities, is essential. \n
- Experience with individual and family therapy, demonstrating strong interpersonal skills and a child-centered approach. \n
- Ability to build rapport with children, adolescents, and their families while effectively communicating therapeutic concepts. \n
- Familiarity with electronic health record systems and other technology used in clinical settings. \n
- Proven ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment. \n
Experience in crisis intervention and school-based mental health therapy would be advantageous. Additionally, knowledge of local community resources for mental health support can enrich service delivery and patient outcomes.
Compensation and Benefits\nThis position offers a competitive salary range of $75,000 to $100,000 per year, commensurate with experience and education.
