Department: SOM KC Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation ----- Rehab Medicine Education Position Title: Rehabilitation Medicine Spine/Pain Management Fellow Job Family Group: Residents Job Description Summary: A qualified physician who practices medicine, usually in a hospital or clinic, under the direct or indirect supervision of a senior clinician registered in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation such as an attending physician or consultant. Job Description Job Duties Outlined Diagnosis and comprehensive management of current patients with acute and chronic musculoskeletal disease. Inpatient and outpatient continuity clinic. On call coverage as directed. Teach residents and medical students. Active involvement in organizing aspects of the regular didactic program. Publish in a peer-reviewed journal. Board Certified/Board Eligible in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation. This position requires a formal degree in the cited discipline area(s) to ensure that candidates have the foundational knowledge and skill set required to perform the duties of the position. The level of degree is based on accreditation requirements, institutional standards of academic and professional excellence, alignment with peer institution benchmarks, and contributes to the credibility and effectiveness of the role within the university community. Preferred Qualifications Work Experience: Experience in clinical research.
