Business Affiliate Instructor

Position Summary The AACSB‑accredited College of Business at Metropolitan State University of Denver invites applications for part‑time affiliate faculty teaching positions in general business courses. Assigned affiliate class sections may be taught in person or online. Responsibilities Teach 3–9 credit hours of courses such as Introduction to Business, Business Communication, Career Planning, and Global Corporate Social Responsibility, either in person or online. Participate in program assessment activities as assigned. Be available for student consultation and interact with diverse groups of students, faculty, and staff. Prepare course materials and lesson plans, grade student work, provide timely feedback, and offer academic support in accordance with university and department policies. Deliver instruction consistent with the course syllabus and learning objectives, and comply with university‑wide student evaluation and peer observation policies. Adapt to and learn new modes of instruction. Required Qualifications Completion of a Master’s degree in business or in the field to be taught. Minimum of ten consecutive years of substantial professional experience with increasing responsibility and supervisory duties, current at hire. If the Master’s degree is outside the field, an increased expectation for substantial professional experience in the discipline. Preferred Qualifications Evidence of quality teaching in higher education. Terms of Employment Affiliate faculty are part‑time, at‑will employees hired on a per‑credit‑hour basis for specific classes on a semester‑by‑semester basis. They are not eligible for the University benefit program. Salary Salary per credit hour ranges from $1,264 to $1,482, based on university policy. Benefits Affiliate faculty are not eligible for the University benefit program.
