The Data Scientist will apply statistical theory and methods to collect, interpret, and summarize data as well as make predictions and recommend actions based on data, and complete the tasks and deliverables for our client.
- Maintain and strengthen NIST's AI test and evaluation environment so that evaluations can be conducted in a controlled, reproducible, and technically consistent manner across projects.
- Provide NIST with a consistent technical framework for receiving evaluation outputs, analyzing results, and preserving evaluation artifacts so that datasets, submissions, scores, and publications can be reused across evaluation cycles.
- Give NIST a clear monthly view of both project progress and technical work performed.
- Work with a team that values your knowledge and expertise.

- 8-hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Master's degree in computer science or related field (required)
- At least one-year experience in designing, developing, and maintaining evaluation support software and evaluation result scoring tools (required)
- Demonstrated proficiency with scientific computing environments, software management systems, continuous integration pipelines, data science and machine learning, evidenced through Github or other open software repositories
- Proficiency with the following tools is required: Gitlab, Python, Docker, Kubernetes, Unix (either Linux or Mac OS X)
