Details Inpatient rehabilitation hospital setting focused on stroke, orthopedic, brain injury, and other complex recovery cases Night shift schedule with 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:00 Patient ratio of 1:7 May float to Long-term Acute Care (LTAC) or other units to manage med-surg patients Epic charting system required Requirements Active TX or compact RN license required in hand at time of consideration BLS and ACLS certifications required CPI and NIHSS certifications preferred Minimum 2 years of RN experience required Prior travel nursing experience required Previous charge nurse experience preferred LTAC experience preferred Skilled in IV therapy, phlebotomy, central and peripheral line care, and PICC line management Experience with colostomy/ileostomy and feeding tube care Experience managing neurological and psychiatric conditions including CVA, spinal cord injury, and traumatic brain injury Experience administering Heparin and Insulin Skilled in wound care/wound vac and isolation precautions/PPE Experience with tracheostomy care and nasal cannula management preferred Experience with ortho trauma and total joint replacement preferred Experience with post cardiac surgery care preferred Experience with pre/post hemodialysis management and renal failure preferred Experience with surgical drains preferred Familiarity with rapid response/code team protocols preferred Additional Information Provide comprehensive rehabilitative care within an interdisciplinary team including physicians, therapists, and support staff Support individualized care plans emphasizing family involvement and patient education Utilize advanced rehabilitation technologies and evidence-based practices Uphold patient safety, dignity, and respect throughout care delivery Not accepting candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility Not accepting candidates residing in Henderson, Anderson, Cherokee, Rusk, Panola, Smith, Gregg, Van Zandt, Wood, Upshur, Camp, Hopkins, Franklin, Titus, or Morris counties Former staff must wait at least 1 year before returning as a traveler No travel pairs or groups accepted All RTO must be listed at time of consideration, with no more than 3 days automatically approved and none during the first week of orientation American Traveler Job ID P-743183.
