We are seeking an entrepreneurial-minded pediatric physician who is actively practicing in the local community to join our team in 2026 or early 2027. To support a successful transition and practice growth, the ideal candidate will have an established patient following and the ability to bring patients with them as they begin their new practice with Esse Health.

Practice Highlights:

\n

\n
• Join a collaborative team of two Pediatric physician partners in your clinic, with additional Pediatricians and multi-disciplinary colleagues across the group
\n
• Opportunity to gradually take over a physicians panel, with mentorship and warm patient hand-offs as they transition toward retirement
\n
• Outpatient practice with opportunity to do newborn rounding and flexibility to focus on clinical interests (ADHD, mental health, obesity, etc.)
\n
• Opportunity to mentor and teach medical students and residents if desired
\n

Schedule & Hours:

• Clinic hours:
\n
\n
• MondayFriday: 8:00 AM 4:30 PM
\n
\n
• Schedule: 4.5 days patient care + 0.5 day administrative (greater flexibility as a shareholder)
\n

\n

Call:

\n

\n
• Minimal outpatient phone call only rare, triaged first via St. Louis Children's Hospital, and shared among partners 
\n

\n

Patient Volume:

\n

\n
• Gradual onboarding ramp-up to build confidence with the EMR, flow, and coding
\n
• Target 20-25 patients/day as comfort and efficiency increase for financial success 
\n

\n

Procedures & Office Details:

\n

\n
• In-office procedures based on physician preference; precepting available for those interested in learning
\n
\n
• Current procedures performed include abscesses, Nexplanon, Dermabond, suturing, Steri-Strips, etc.
\n
• OBs do circumcisions
\n
\n
• In-house testing includes strep, RSV, flu, COVID, pregnancy, and more 
\n

\n

Support & Staff:

\n

\n
• Partner with a dedicated, long-tenured team including an office manager, two Medical Assistants, and other support staff
\n
• \n

  \n Access to additional care-extending resources outside the clinic, including behavioral health, diabetic educators, and more\n

\n

\n

Requirements:

• MD or DO
\n
• Must be Board Certified or Board Eligible with plans to certify (AB or AOA)
\n
• Missouri licensed or eligible to obtain licensure in Missouri
\n
