IT Procurement and Compliance Analyst

Northwest Partners is supporting a major initiative with a top-tier organization in the insurance space and is looking for an experienced IT Procurement and Compliance Analyst to contribute to the success of this work. This role supports IT procurement, vendor management, compliance, privacy, risk, governance, audit readiness, and business continuity activities while partnering across technology, security, legal, privacy, finance, and business teams.
What YOU will do
Perform IT procurement activities in accordance with internal policies and applicable requirements, including gathering business requirements, pre-qualifying vendors, developing RFPs and RFQs, evaluating proposals and quotes, and supporting vendor recommendations.
Manage tactical purchasing activities, including purchase orders, invoice processing and coding, check requests, and purchase reconciliation.
Support third-party risk management and IT governance activities through vendor due diligence, risk reviews, security and privacy questionnaires, contract compliance tracking, and monitoring of vendor obligations.
Track regulatory requirements, governance framework alignment, audit activity, remediation efforts, and risk and compliance metrics.
Coordinate recurring risk reviews, policy reviews, vendor meetings, audit status meetings, management reporting, and cross-functional governance activities.
Lead assigned process improvement initiatives, audit preparation efforts, and privacy-related activities.
Coordinate business continuity and disaster recovery governance, including plan documentation, annual tabletop exercises, evidence retention, action-item tracking, and results reporting.
Support IT policy administration, publication, and communication.
Document corrective action plans, assign ownership, monitor due dates, and validate closure evidence with responsible teams.
Support privacy processes, compliance documentation, incident tracking, risk assessments, and protection of sensitive and personal information.
Provide guidance and support to team members on procurement processes, compliance documentation, vendor records, and recurring governance activities.
Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.
What YOU will bring us
Knowledge of control and compliance frameworks and standards, including COSO, COBIT, NIST, ISO, SOC, HIPAA, and GLBA.
Knowledge of privacy and data protection principles.
Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to work independently.
Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships across organizational levels and functions.
Strong Microsoft Office skills and working knowledge of SharePoint.
At least two years of experience in procurement, compliance analysis, or a related function.
Experience in purchasing, sourcing, or procurement.
Experience supporting privacy, compliance, risk, or audit programs.
Experience with vendor management and contracting.
Bachelor's degree in a related field, equivalent related experience, or equivalent military experience.
Insurance industry experience preferred.
