Tax Staff AccountantGelfand, Rennert & Feldman is seeking a Tax Staff Accountant to join our team of dedicated professionals. The Tax Staff Accountant role is responsible for the preparation of various reports in support of servicing clients, preparation of simple to moderately complex tax returns, as well as tax projections and tax research. This position is based out of White Plains, NY or New York, NY on a hybrid basis.Job responsibilities include:Prepare individual, corporate (S corp and C corp), partnership, estate, trust, fiduciary, and exempt organization tax returnsReview General Ledger and reports to assist in preparation of tax projectionsPerform tax research and planning, as needed, to solve client's tax issuesCorrespondence regarding tax notices, jurisdictional issues, and/or tax auditsPrepare closeouts for loan-out corporations and analyzing payroll withholding requirements for federal and stateAssist in the preparation of financial reports that may include net worth statements, cash flow schedules, meeting packages, budgets, investment analysis, tour reconciliations, etc.Assist with state, local, and international tax clearances for touring artistsAssist client service team with other projects, as necessaryQualifications:2-3 years of experience with preparing and/or reviewing individual, corporate, partnership, and trust tax returnsBachelor's degree is requiredProficiency at Microsoft Office, especially Excel and WordFamiliarity with AgilLink is a plusFamiliarity with CCH tax software is a plusCPA or CPA eligibility is highly preferredSolid interpersonal skills and other key soft skills (i.e., communication, time management, emotional intelligence, adaptability, active listening, critical-thinking, etc.)Capability to learn new systems and process information quicklyOrganization skills with attention to detailThis is a non-exempt, overtime eligible position. The annualized base pay range for this role is expected to be between $65,000 - $85,000. Actual base pay could vary based on factors including but not limited to experience, subject matter expertise, geographic location where work will be performed, and the applicant's skill set. The base pay is just one component of the total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include an annual bonus and a comprehensive benefits package.
