Position Summary

The Business Support Manager II serves as a strategic business leader supporting the CTI Mainframe Services organization. This role provides integrated oversight across financial management, workforce strategy, resource planning, governance, communications, and strategic initiatives supporting the Mainframe, iSeries, and Enterprise Batch technology portfolios.

The position serves as a trusted advisor to Mainframe Services leadership, driving alignment across organizational priorities, identifying risks and opportunities, and enabling successful execution of strategic objectives. The successful candidate will combine financial acumen, workforce planning expertise, operational excellence, and executive communication skills to drive business outcomes, organizational effectiveness, and strategic execution.

This role acts as a strategic integrator across technology and business functions, facilitating collaboration, removing execution barriers, and ensuring successful delivery of organizational priorities.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as a trusted advisor and strategic partner to Mainframe Services leadership, supporting execution of business priorities and long-term objectives.
• Provide integrated oversight across financial forecasting, workforce planning, resource management, hiring strategy, governance, communications, and organizational effectiveness.
• Lead annual planning, workforce strategy, and financial management routines to ensure alignment with organizational goals and priorities.
• Act as a strategic integrator across Mainframe, iSeries, Enterprise Batch, and partner organizations, enabling effective collaboration and execution of key initiatives.
• Identify risks, opportunities, dependencies, and constraints affecting business outcomes and develop mitigation strategies and recommendations.
• Partner with Finance, Human Resources, Talent Acquisition, and senior leaders to support workforce investment, resource allocation, and organizational planning decisions.
• Analyze financial, workforce, and operational data to provide actionable insights and support executive decision-making.
• Lead strategic initiatives that improve operational effectiveness, organizational performance, and business results.
• Drive governance, operational discipline, and adherence to enterprise policies, controls, and risk management practices.
• Develop executive-level presentations, communications, business reviews, and leadership materials for senior management audiences.
• Build strong partnerships across CTI and enterprise functions to support execution of organizational priorities and strategic objectives.

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in business management, COO support, strategic operations, workforce planning, project management, financial management, or related disciplines.
• Demonstrated experience supporting senior leaders and influencing outcomes across highly matrixed organizations.
• Strong financial management experience, including budgeting, forecasting, workforce planning, and business performance analysis.
• Proven ability to translate strategy into actionable plans and drive successful execution across multiple priorities.
• Exceptional executive communication and presentation development skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with experience developing recommendations from complex data and business challenges.
• Ability to anticipate risks, identify opportunities, and drive solutions independently.
• Experience leading cross-functional initiatives and building strong stakeholder relationships.
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills, including Excel and PowerPoint.
• Strong executive presence, organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment.

• Global Technology experience.
• Bachelor's Degree
• Knowledge of Mainframe, iSeries, Enterprise Batch, or related critical infrastructure platforms.
• Experience supporting infrastructure, engineering, or technology organizations.
• Experience supporting financial management, workforce strategy, governance, portfolio management, and executive operating routines.
• Working knowledge of Bank policies, programs, and procedures.
• Experience supporting organizational transformation, operating model evolution, or large-scale workforce initiatives.
• Experience managing multiple facets of an end-to-end business, including financial management, workforce planning, governance, operational excellence, communications, and strategic execution.

Job Description:
Manages diverse administrative functions usually for a very large, complex department or for a complete line of business that may be regional or national in scope, often requiring associates in one or more location. Functions managed may include: financial control/budgeting and consolidation, personnel processes, audit/compliance, premises, and coordination of certain projects, associate training, service quality, process improvement, business continuity, or communication. Consults with senior management in evaluating current methods and developing strategies to implement changes and improvements. Requires a thorough knowledge of the department or business units functional area or products. Working knowledge of general bank policies, programs and procedures and financial/accounting practices. Generally has full management responsibility over a relatively large team and may manage one or more levels of managers. Leads the support/administrative functions for a somewhat large department usually at a local level. Responsibilities may include budget analysis and recommendations, operations analysis, identification and resolution of work flow issues, associate training, service quality, process improvement. Resolves personnel, audit and/or budget issues by researching and analyzing unusual problems, administers bank programs and policies and provides interpretation to department. Requires an in-depth knowledge of bank policies and programs and of the departments functional operations. May direct workflow activities.
