Position: Industrial Maintenance Mechanic I

Schedule: 7:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m., may vary

Location: Fort Wayne, IN

What You'll Do:

• Inspects, repairs and maintains a wide variety of Filtration Plant, Water Pollution Control Plant and related systems and supporting facilities;
• Performs preventive / predictive maintenance tasks as required;
• Performs various maintenance work including carpentry, painting, glazing and masonry;
• Assists in plant de-sludging, Filter rebuilding, aeration tank cleaning, etc.;
• Utilizes CMMS to perform scheduled PMs and maintenance work, to record associated labor time and materials and to enter all necessary and applicable data;
• Utilize 6S and TPM (Total Productive Maintenance).

Must-Have Qualifications:

• High School Graduate or equivalent (GED) plus 6 months hands-on mechanical knowledge
• Obtain Indiana CDL within 18 months of hire or 18 months after turning 21 whichever comes first
• Confined Space Entry Certification
• CPR, First Aid, and Bloodborne Pathogens certification
• Strong mechanical, troubleshooting, and communication skills
