Investment Associate (Quantitative Research - FT Investment Solutions)

About the Opportunity The Investment Associate is a three‑year term role designed for recent graduates to support Franklin Templeton Investment Solutions (FTIS) in developing innovative quantitative projects for multi‑asset strategies. The position is based in Boston and requires in‑office attendance four days per week. Key Responsibilities Develop quantitative research and software applications in Python to support the investment platform MosaiQ. Collaborate with senior analysts and portfolio managers on investment strategy development. Conduct research to enhance investment strategies, such as building predictive asset‑class signals. Create and maintain quantitative financial models and forecasts. Communicate investment recommendations and ideas to internal clients. Attend investment meetings to deepen understanding of underlying strategies. Manage assigned projects, tracking milestones, and informing stakeholders of progress. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a STEM field (Computer Science, Data Science, Physics, Engineering, Math). Strong quantitative background and recent or new graduate status. Proficiency in Python programming and statistical modeling. Experience with SQL databases. Interest in markets, investing, and finance. Team‑oriented, proactive, responsive, and adaptable to fast‑paced collaboration. Strong interpersonal skills, prioritization, and ability to meet deadlines while managing multiple tasks. Ability to interpret statistical and financial information and translate data into clear written statements. Mathematical, analytical, and interpretative skills; capable of performing timely calculations or analyses. Work experience in finance or economics is a plus. Compensation & Benefits The annual salary range is $80,000 – $120,000, depending on location and relevant experience. The role includes a base salary, annual discretionary bonus, 401(k) plan with generous match, comprehensive benefits package, and other employee perks.
