Zenar is a privately owned, 3rd generation company located in Oak Creek looking for an experienced CNC-Lathe Machinist who exhibits advanced knowledge of machine shop practices, techniques, programming, machine operation and tooling.

Follow detailed parts drawings and specifications regarding applications, coding, and settings.
Study drawings to determine methods or sequences of operations needed to machine parts.
Program and/or modify computer programs.
Set up, adjust, or operate basic or specialized machine tools used to perform precision machining operations.
Align and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, or materials onto machines.
Machine parts to specifications, using machine tools, such as lathes, milling machines, shapers, or grinders.
- Note and report variations from specifications.
Monitor the feed and speed of machines during the machining process.
Check work pieces to ensure that they are properly lubricated or cooled.
Measure and examine, completed units to check for defects and ensure conformance to specifications, using precision instruments, such as micrometers and calipers.
Dispose of scrap or waste material in accordance with company policies and environmental regulations.
Maintain machine tools in proper operational condition.
Evaluate machining procedures and recommend changes or modifications for improved efficiency or adaptability.
Confer with engineering, supervisory, or manufacturing personnel to exchange technical information.

Physical Requirements:

Prolonged periods standing and performing repetitive tasks.
Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds on a regular basis; lift 50# on occasion.
Must have manual dexterity including bending, stooping, and reaching.
Must have excellent hand-eye coordination.
Safety glasses and steel toe shoes are required.

Requirements

Must have prior programming experience.
Exhibit advanced knowledge of machine shop practices, techniques, programming, machine operation and tooling.
Experience with following detailed parts drawings and specifications regarding applications, coding, and settings.
