What You Should Know About the Volunteer Coordinator Role:

• This is a FT position at our Ohio's Hospice Troy location, Springfield and Urbana territories as well.
• Schedule will be M-F 8a-5p with an occasional weekend
• We provide superior care and superior services to patients at their end of life journey. Only those who have a heart for hospice will succeed

Volunteer Coordinator Job Summary:

Performs administrative support duties specific to office assigned. Organizes data received for accurate entry and efficient reportingin a timelymanner.Recruits, trains, and retains volunteers to support the mission of Ohio's Hospice.


Volunteer Coordinator Essential Duties:

• Maintains daily volunteer records and volunteer data in Volgistics.
• Manages the onboarding process for prospective volunteers.
• Coordinates referrals and inquiries regarding becoming a hospice volunteer.
• Strong organizational skills, communication skills and critical thinking skills
• Manages volunteers annual renewal requirements to maintain compliance.
• Fills volunteer requests for patients in a timely manner as evidenced by completed tasks in the Electronic Medical Records to serve the needs of patients and families.

Volunteer Coordinator Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• Computer skills sufficient to properly document services and communicate effectively.
• Ability to drive during daytime, nighttime or inclement weather
• Valid Driver's License with Safe Driving Record
• State Minimum Automobile Insurance Coverage
