Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate, energetic, and student-focused SAT English Tutor to support high school students in achieving strong SAT results and building confidence in their academic abilities. In this role, you will provide engaging and personalized instruction in SAT Reading, Writing, Grammar, and Vocabulary using Class 101’s approved curriculum, tools, and resources.

Responsibilities

• Conduct engaging tutoring sessions focused on SAT English components, including reading comprehension, grammar, writing, and vocabulary, using Class 101’s approved curriculum and instructional resources.
• Lead classroom exercises and guided practice activities to reinforce learning and improve test performance.
• Assess student progress regularly through quizzes, practice tests, and feedback sessions; adjust instructional strategies as needed.
• Teach effective SAT test-taking strategies and proctor practice SAT exams.
• Encourage students to consistently improve their scores while tracking and monitoring their progress.
• Create and maintain a positive, supportive, and disciplined classroom environment conducive to learning.
• Collaborate with students to build confidence, strengthen writing skills, and develop critical reading and analytical thinking skills.
• Prepare lesson materials and instructional plans using Class 101 tools and resources.

Skills

• Proven experience tutoring SAT English, with strong knowledge of: Reading comprehension , Grammar and language conventions, Vocabulary development, SAT test-taking strategies
• Bachelor’s degree preferred in English, Education, Communications, or a related field.
• Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly and effectively.
• Experience working with high school students from diverse academic backgrounds.
• Familiarity with educational technology and online learning platforms for in-person and/or virtual instruction.
• Ability to motivate students and foster a positive, growth-oriented learning environment.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
