Events Manager - Global

Summary The Events Manager - Global is responsible for providing strategic leadership for all event types across the firm's cross-border US, Canada, Latin Americas, and global strategic events and initiatives. The role oversees pre-event, onsite, and post-event logistics, delivering "white glove service" to attorneys, staff, clients, and partners. Domestic and international travel may be required; the position demands adaptability to various time zones and stakeholders. Location This position can be located in New York or Miami and offers a hybrid work schedule with a minimum of 2-3 days in the office. Responsibilities Identify venues, create budgets, develop planning timelines, and negotiate vendor contracts. Collaborate with communications and design teams to develop invitations, oversee distribution, and manage event mailing lists. Utilize the CVENT platform to build registration pages, microsites, attendee lists, and create reports. Produce events that reflect the firm’s reputation as a world-class provider. Travel to other cities where events are hosted as needed. Perform other duties as assigned. Desired Skills Experience with Cvent management software. Solid project-management skills and the ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Excellent communication skills and a professional appearance, demeanor, and work ethic. Strong written and verbal English and Spanish language skills. Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, WebEx, Word, and basic use of databases. Ability to negotiate within budget constraints while delivering high-level events. Knowledge of event technologies and the capacity to leverage them to enhance the attendee journey. Ability to collect and analyze relevant data to inform future decisions. Detail-oriented, thorough proofreading skills, and strong prioritization. Self-starter able to work independently with minimal supervision and to collaborate with diverse personalities. Flexibility to work long hours as needed. Preferred Education Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field. Minimum Years of Experience At least 4 years in professional or corporate meeting planning or meeting-management positions. Work Environment The position may involve a hybrid work arrangement, and the specific requirements will be determined in coordination with management. Compensation The expected salary range for this position is $100,787-$153,578 per year, depending on geographic market location.
