CERTIFIED RECREATION THERAPIST

Responsibilities Due to continued growth, we are seeking a Full Time Certified Recreation Therapist (CTRS) to plan and provide activity therapy services for individual and/or groups which benefit their physical, emotional, psychological, and spiritual well-being. The Activity Therapist will also provide recreational, or leisure assessments as needed along with participating with the multidisciplinary treatment teams to integrate these services and improve patient functioning. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: Certified Recreation Therapist (Bachelor's degree in Therapeutic Recreation and two years’ experience) Art therapist (Master's degree in art therapy with 1,000 hours post-graduate clinical experience), preferred. Minimum of one year experience working in a therapeutic recreation program for adults and adolescents with psychiatric and/or chemical dependency patients Has a variety of skills to challenge and teach patients leisure skills and mastery over their environment.
