About the General Service Technician Position As a General Service Technician, you'll perform essential maintenance and tire services that help keep our customers safely on the road. You'll work alongside experienced automotive professionals while developing valuable hands‑on skills. Responsibilities include: Dismounting, mounting, rotating, and balancing tires Performing flat tire repairs Completing oil and filter changes Checking and topping off vehicle fluids Performing basic vehicle maintenance and inspections Identifying visible tire and maintenance concerns Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work area Following established safety and service procedures Helping ensure quality service and timely completion of customer vehicles Why Join Team Mavis? Qualifications To be eligible for the General Service Technician position, you must: Be at least 18 years of age Be legally authorized to work in the United States Be reliable, punctual, and willing to learn Be comfortable working in a fast‑paced, hands‑on automotive environment Have a strong commitment to safety, teamwork, and quality service Previous automotive experience is a plus, but not required. Paid training is provided. Physical Requirements General Service Technicians must be able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, pull, reach, and perform repetitive movements associated with automotive and tire service.
