Specialty: Physical Therapist Discipline: Therapy Duration: 13 weeks BLS, ABPTS, 1 Year State-specific licensing required 6 months experience required; 1 year preferred; new graduates encouraged to apply Responsibilities Evaluate, develop, and execute a plan of care for a variety of patient populations in the acute care setting Supervise PTAs and support staff (therapy technicians) Bill within the setting, following facility guidelines Understand and comply with PT board rules and state regulations Interface with Medical Center personnel and physicians to ensure team‑focused plans of care Understand adaptive equipment Modify plans of care as indicated based on patient condition Use Medical Center computer systems in daily tasks Provide timely and accurate documentation following state and/or insurance guidelines Requirements Must have BLS and state-specific licensing. Physical therapists should be able to stand and walk for long periods of time and bend, lean, or stoop without difficulty. PTs must possess sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology. Experience: minimum 6 months; 1 year preferred. New graduates encouraged to apply.
