Animal Medical Center is a fast‑paced, AAHA‑accredited, 4‑doctor practice providing both general practice and urgent care services. What You’ll Be Doing You will be an essential part of our medical team, working on a variety of cases—from preventive care to urgent situations. Your technical skills, compassion, and adaptability will make a real impact every day. Our Services Include Wellness & Preventive Care Urgent Care Soft Tissue Surgery Ultrasound And more Schedule 4‑day work week Rotating Saturdays Must be available for closing shifts (until 8:00 PM) Typical shifts: 7:30 AM – 5:30 PM or 10:00 AM – 8:00 PM with one Saturday a month What We’re Looking For Required Minimum 1 year of experience Licensed Veterinary Technician in the state of Virginia Preferred Skills IV catheter placement Experience in urgent care or ER settings Anesthesia and surgical support proficiency Strong team player with a collaborative spirit Able to perform under pressure in a fast‑paced environment Why Animal Medical Center? What You’ll Bring To The Team A calm, efficient, and decisive approach, especially during medical emergencies. Graduate of an AVMA‑accredited Veterinary Technician program and a current state license in good standing. Proficiency in a range of technical skills, with a strong aptitude for emergency procedures, anesthesia monitoring, and critical care nursing. Confidence in handling animals of all temperaments and the ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced environment. Strong communication skills and a passion for working collaboratively under pressure. One year of experience in a veterinary setting is preferred; urgent care or emergency experience is a plus!
