Hotel Banquet Cook When you work in Hawaii, in addition to learning about the functional aspects of running a hotel — like the proper way to make a bed or how to best handle luggage — it’s critically important to understand Hawaiian culture and the spirit of ‘ohana, or ‘family.’ When opening the first Andaz property in Hawaii, our team participated in Hawaiian culture training to help us understand what ‘ohana truly means. The Hotel Banquet Cook is a culinary position that is open to cooks of an intermediate or higher level. Candidates must have the culinary skills or related cooking experience to match this higher level. This is typically a production position that requires total supervision and training. Responsibilities & Qualifications The position expects exceptional performance in a fast paced environment, including proficiency in food preparation, tabletop service, and collaboration with a culinary team. Candidates must be able to stand for long periods, perform repetitive duties, and work flexible hours, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
