The organization has provided substance abuse treatment through its CARF Accredited Level II Residential Treatment Center since 1983. The 30‑ to 60‑day structured treatment program incorporates best practices tailored to the clients enrolled in the program and offers group, individual, family, and couples therapy, as well as nightly community 12‑step support groups. The 65‑bed, ADA compliant residential facility includes all meals, an on‑site laundry facility free of charge, a basketball court, and a garden. Holistic health techniques such as yoga, tai chi, chi‑gong, and sweat lodge are also offered. How You Make an Impact Develop and maintain relationships with referral sources, community partners, healthcare providers, and stakeholders to increase awareness of the organization’s substance use treatment services. Serve as a liaison between the treatment program and the community, promoting services, generating referrals, supporting admissions efforts, and contributing to census growth. Establish and maintain professional relationships with hospitals, behavioral health providers, detox facilities, probation departments, courts, legal entities, social service agencies, community organizations, and other referral sources. Develop and implement outreach strategies and initiatives that increase awareness of organizational services and support census growth. Conduct regular outreach visits, presentations, educational events, and networking activities to promote program services. Identify and cultivate new referral opportunities and community partnerships. Represent the organization as an authorized liaison with external partners while maintaining professional relationships and exercising sound judgment. Participate in strategic planning efforts related to business development and community engagement. Travel throughout the community to attend meetings, events, presentations, and networking opportunities. Specializations Creative, independent judgment and strategizing to build and nurture partnerships and determine best tools to drive engagement. Proficiency in technology and ability to learn new programs and software quickly to create impactful presentations, campaigns, and marketing materials. Expertise in navigating various social media platforms and their respective participants (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, Twitter, TikTok, etc.). Ability to design, modify, and implement outreach strategies based on community needs, data analysis, and stakeholder feedback. Independent judgment in prioritizing outreach activities, partnerships, and initiatives aligned with agency goals. Responsible for evaluating the effectiveness of outreach strategies and recommending programmatic adjustments. Serve as a subject‑matter resource for leadership on community engagement trends, referral patterns, and partnership opportunities. Determining outreach priorities, strategies, and engagement methods Selecting and cultivating community partnerships Recommending programmatic enhancements based on outreach outcomes Adapting outreach approaches to meet changing community needs Making decisions within established organizational policies and objectives Expertise in research, utilizing internet and search engines effectively and appropriately, and knowledge of community resources. Minimum Qualifications Education/Background: Bachelor’s degree in social work, social services, psychology from an accredited university with 2–4 years of progressively responsible outreach, program development, or community engagement experience. Associate’s degree in social work, social services, psychology from an accredited school with 4–6 years of progressively responsible outreach, program development, or community engagement experience. Bilingual Spanish speaking preferred. Demonstrated experience designing and evaluating outreach strategies. Valid Arizona driver’s license. Current automobile insurance as required by Arizona law. Access to reliable transportation for travel throughout assigned service areas. Must hold a valid driver’s license, meet the company’s motor vehicle record standards, comply with insurance eligibility, and meet all state and federal driving requirements. Ongoing employment is contingent upon maintaining an acceptable driving record. Other Requirements Knowledge of principles, practices, and trends in outreach service coordination and public relations. Experience in successful communication, presentations, and marketing campaigns. Preference for experience in case management, linkage, and working within a team. Preference for experience working with individuals struggling with addiction and from underserved populations, working with adults. Experience working with multiethnic/cultural clients and communities. Experience working with community and government agencies. Ability to manage diverse projects, be flexible, and work collaboratively. Advanced ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and written, including correspondence and reports. Exceptional interpersonal and networking skills to interact effectively with leadership, staff, community partners, and prospects.
