Restaurant Server (Part-Time)

ServerAs a Server, you’ll be responsible for resident interaction with the dining program for the community. From daily operations of the restaurant and bar, to catering and special events. This is a position for an individual who routinely exercises good judgment and exceptional problem-solving skills. As the face of the dining experience, maintaining positivity and diplomacy in a fast-paced environment is critical while maintaining standards and authentically delivering on our Values and Global Service Standards.Prepare restaurant for lunch / dining by setting decorations, condiments, napkins and utensilsProtect establishment and patrons by adhering to sanitation, safety and alcohol beverage control policiesMust be able to explain the chef's specialties; identify appropriate wines; answer food preparation questionsStay updated on current menu choices, specialties and menu deviations, knowing if the kitchen staff is running out of any items, etc.Transmit orders to bar and kitchen by recording resident choices; identifying Resident special dietary needs and special requestsServe orders by picking up and delivering patrons' choices from bar and kitchen; deliver accompaniments and condiments from service barsRespond to additional patron requirements by inquiring of needs; observing dining processMaintain table setting by removing courses as completed; replenishing utensils; refilling water glasses; being alert to patron spills or other special needsProperly open and pour wine at the tablesideObtain revenues by totaling charges; issuing bill; accepting payment; returning credit card and signature slip to ResidentContribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as neededPerform basic cleaning tasks as needed or directed by supervisorCritical thinking, problem solving, judgement and decision-making abilities are necessary.Ability to maintain positivity and diplomacy in a fast-paced environment.Possess strong interpersonal skills and is able to interact and communicate successfully to the residents and team.Must be available to work a variety of shifts including days, evenings, weekends and holidays.Excellent time management skills and multitasking ability.Progressive people management skills.Ability to work in various positions, including, but not limited to stooping, standing, bending over, sitting, kneeling and squatting for extended periods of time, climbing stairs, navigating the property/building quickly and easily as required to meet the job functionAbility to lift 50 lbs following appropriate safety procedures.Work in an upright standing position for long periods of time.Handle, finger, grasp and feel objects and equipment.Reach with hands and arms.Repeat various motions with the wrists, hands and fingers.Schedule: Tuesday - Sunday, 12PM - 10PM. Compensation: $14.00 per hour plus 18% auto gratuity.
