As an Account Manager with Petrouske Insurance and Financial Services, Inc. you will help grow our agency by building relationships, identifying customer needs, and confidently recommending insurance solutions that protect what matters most to our customers.

This is a sales-focused position for someone who enjoys helping people and is comfortable asking thoughtful questions, making recommendations, and asking for the business. You will work with both new and existing customers across Auto, Home, Life, Health, and other insurance products, with an emphasis on building complete customer relationships rather than simply completing transactions.

The right person does not need to be the loudest person in the room or have a stereotypical “sales personality.” We value someone who is confident, emotionally intelligent, self-motivated, and willing to have meaningful conversations with customers. You should be comfortable working toward goals, receiving coaching, practicing your skills, and consistently following through.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Build relationships with new and existing customers to drive agency growth and customer retention. 
• Conduct proactive, needs-based conversations to understand customers' risks, priorities, and financial protection needs. 
• Recommend, explain, and sell appropriate Auto, Home, Life, Health, and other insurance products. 
• Conduct policy reviews with existing customers and identify opportunities to strengthen their overall insurance protection. 
• Work both warm and cold leads, including existing customer opportunities, referrals, inbound prospects, and outbound sales activity. 
• Confidently ask customers for the business and professionally follow up with customers who are not ready to make an immediate decision. 
• Identify opportunities to deepen customer relationships through additional products and services. 
• Handle customer questions and concerns with empathy, professionalism, and a solutions-oriented approach. 
• Maintain an organized sales pipeline and consistently follow through on leads, quotes, customer commitments, and opportunities. 
• Meet individual activity and production goals while contributing to overall agency goals. 
• Participate in sales coaching, role-playing, training, and team development activities. 
• Apply feedback and continually improve sales, communication, and product knowledge. 
• Take ownership of results and proactively identify what needs to be done rather than waiting for direction. 
• Collaborate with team members to create a consistent, positive customer experience. 

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Previous insurance or sales experience is preferred, but sales ability, initiative, and willingness to learn are more important than having insurance experience.
• Property & Casualty and Life & Health insurance licenses preferred; ability and willingness to obtain required licenses is necessary. 
• Comfortable initiating conversations and asking customers questions to uncover needs and opportunities. 
• Confidence recommending solutions and asking for the sale. 
• Strong listening and communication skills with the ability to build trust with different types of customers. 
• Self-motivated and able to work independently without requiring constant supervision. 
• Goal-oriented and willing to be accountable for measurable sales results. 
• Coachable and willing to practice, role-play, receive feedback, and continuously improve. 
• Organized and dependable with strong follow-through. 
• Emotionally intelligent, mature, and able to remain professional when handling objections or difficult conversations. 
• Able to balance sales goals with doing what is appropriate for the individual customer. 
• Positive contributor to a team environment. 
• Must love dogs!
