Duties include but not limited to water repairs and installations of water/waste systems. Will oversee and maintain company required and state mandated water certifications and licenses./ppThis is a contingent position expected to be located in Hawthorne, NV. The pay range for the position will be provided at the time the position is no longer contingent./ph2What Youll Do/h2ulliResponsible for the treatment and operation of water collection, storage, treatment, and distribution systems to include wells, tanks, valves, pumps, controls and chemical injection systems./liliReview Task Hazard Assessment (THAs) prior to assigned duties and follow Safety Data Sheet guidelines for handling, storage, and disposal of Hazardous Materials./liliResponsible for work accomplished in accordance with compliance of state permit(s)./liliEnsure all samples are collected in accordance with State Permits. Responsible for compiling all necessary reports to remain in compliance with drinking water and wastewater standards./liliWork in cooperation with other trades and laborers to ensure that all specifications, procedures and policies are met, to ensure efficient completion of any project./liliProvide adequate services, to ensure that all water and waste systems are installed, repaired and maintained to meet all standards of building codes safely./liliMaintain record of time and materials used on jobs and ensure job orders are complete./liliRead blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine the layout of water infrastructure and waste distribution system./liliWork under general supervision and from oral instructions, preventive maintenance program plans, work orders, emergency calls, layout sketches, blueprints, drawings, specifications, or similar guidance./liliEnsure work is performed based on dispatched service or daily/weekly work schedules. Responsible for training and development of subordinate staff, estimating personnel needs, assigning work, and meeting completion dates./liliPerform all work in accordance with established safety procedures./liliPerform all other position related duties as assigned or requested./li/ulh2What Were Looking For/h2pRequired Qualifications:/pulliMust be able to obtain and maintain an active secret clearance/liliSeven (7) years of water treatment/wastewater experience./liliTwo (2) years in a supervisory role./liliMust have Nevada state Treatment 4 certification, Distribution 2 certification, Wastewater 1. Certifications with reciprocity agreements in other states may qualify./liliMust be able to obtain and maintain Backflow Tester Certification within six (6) months of starting./liliMust be willing/able to be trained to operate forklift/fork truck or material handling lifting devices./liliAble to wear various levels of personal protective equipment./liliMust be willing to work overtime, varying hours and/or rotating shifts./liliMust possess a valid Drivers License./liliMust possess basic computer literacy and data entry skills./liliDemonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (to include MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)./liliStrong attention to detail and organizational skills./liliExcellent verbal and written communication skills./liliDemonstrated problem-solving skills./liliMust possess strong time management skills./liliMust be able to work in a fast-paced, changing, and challenging environment./liliMust be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future./li/ulpPhysical Requirements:/pulliMust be able to remain seated in a stationary position 50% of the time. Must also be able to alternate between sitting, standing, and walking./liliThe ability to lift items that may weigh up to 50 pounds./liliThe work requires some physical exertion, such as long periods of standing, or recurring and considerable walking, stooping, bending, crouching, and climbing such as performing regular shop activities, inspections, or to observe and study operations in an industrial or comparable work area, or on-board ships, submarines, and/or in weapon facilities./liliThe ability to operate heavy machinery and industrial tools with limited to no supervision.
