About the Position

Our client is seeking a dependable CDL A Delivery Driver for a local delivery position in Holtsville, New York. This role offers a flat rate of $275 per day and involves heavy touch freight deliveries to commercial locations throughout the region. The position is temp-to-perm and is expected to begin June 18, 2026.

Pay & Schedule

Pay: $275 per day
Average weekly pay: $1,375
Hours: 40 hours per week
Start time: Between 4:00 a.m. and 4:30 a.m.
Schedule: Five-day workweek with mandatory Saturdays and one weekday off
Schedule may be Monday through Friday depending on delivery volumes
Employment type: Temp-to-perm

Job Details

Route type: Local
Freight: Heavy touch freight
Equipment: Automatic reefer tractor-trailer
Delivery area: Primarily New York, including the boroughs, with potential overflow into New Jersey and Connecticut
Average stops: 10 to 14 per day
Average day: 8 to 10 hours
Freight handling: Unload using a hand cart or pallet jack, including deliveries up and down stairs and into basements
Delivery locations may include restaurants, hospitals, and schools

Key Responsibilities

Safely operate an automatic reefer tractor-trailer
Complete local deliveries safely, accurately, and on schedule
Deliver freight to restaurants, hospitals, schools, and other commercial locations
Unload freight using hand carts and pallet jacks
Perform physical freight handling, including stair and basement deliveries
Follow all applicable safety regulations and maintain a professional driving record

Minimum Requirements

Valid CDL A
2+ years of recent, relevant, and verifiable driving experience
At least 1 year of touch freight experience
Clean Motor Vehicle Record with no major traffic violations or preventable accidents in the last 3 years
Must meet all DOT and FMCSA requirements
Must be at least 21 years old
