Drive impactful improvements in a fast-paced, rewarding environment.Job DescriptionOverviewLead compensation accounting for a dynamic investment firm, managing complex compensation structures and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal policies.Collaborate with senior professionals across Finance, Legal, HR, and investment teams to optimize compensation arrangements tied to performance metrics.Drive process improvements and automation in compensation workflows, enhancing operational efficiency and reporting accuracy.Analyze compensation trends and expenses to support strategic financial planning and leadership decision-making.Develop and maintain robust internal controls for sensitive compensation data and calculations.Contribute to the advancement of compensation accounting systems in collaboration with technology teams.Support regulatory, tax, and audit requests related to compensation accounting processes.Operate in a fast-paced environment, managing confidential data with precision and reliability.Key Responsibilities & DutiesOversee monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting processes for investment team compensation.Calculate and manage payout allocations based on performance attribution and platform economics.Record and reconcile compensation accruals, bonus reserves, and related journal entries.Produce detailed compensation reporting and analytics for senior leadership and business teams.Identify and implement automation opportunities to streamline workflows and improve reporting infrastructure.Coordinate with external auditors during quarterly reviews and annual audits.Assist in forecasting compensation expenses and accruals for strategic budgeting purposes.Ensure compliance with accounting standards and maintain strong internal controls around compensation data.Job RequirementsBachelor of Science (BS) in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.7–12 years of experience in hedge fund, management company, or compensation accounting.Proficient in US GAAP compensation accounting concepts and deferred compensation structures.Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with general ledger systems and financial reporting tools.Experience with SQL, Power BI, Alteryx, or similar tools is advantageous.CPA certification preferred but not mandatory.Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage confidential information effectively.Strong organizational and project management skills in a dynamic environment.
