Spectrum Vision Partners (SVP) and OCLI Vision work together to provide world-class eye care that improves the lives of our patients. SVP, our management services team, supports OCLI Vision, one of the largest multi-specialty ophthalmology networks in the U.S.

We’re looking for a skilled, patient-focused  Retina Ophthalmic Photographer to join our clinical team and support our Retina Specialists across multiple OCLI Vision locations.

This is a highly specialized role for someone who is comfortable performing advanced retinal imaging and diagnostic testing. You’ll work directly with Retina Specialists to capture high-quality images that support the diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing management of retinal conditions.

This is a traveling position with Woodbury, NY as the home location. Regular travel to designated OCLI Vision offices is required based on business and patient-care needs.

As a Retina Ophthalmic Photographer, you’ll perform advanced ophthalmic photography and diagnostic imaging while helping create an efficient, comfortable experience for our patients.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Perform  Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) and other specialized retinal imaging.
• Perform  Fluorescein Angiography (FA) and  Indocyanine Green Angiography (ICG) .
• Capture high-quality  fundus photography, ultra-widefield retinal imaging, and fundus autofluorescence (FAF) .
• Operate  Heidelberg Spectralis and Optos imaging systems .
• Follow appropriate retinal imaging protocols based on physician orders and patient conditions.
• Obtain accurate image positioning, focus, field of view, exposure, and scan quality.
• Recognize imaging artifacts and repeat or modify imaging techniques when necessary to obtain diagnostic-quality studies.
• Prepare and educate patients for retinal photography and angiography procedures.
• Review relevant patient history, allergies, and required documentation before angiographic procedures.
• Perform or assist with venipuncture and the administration of fluorescein and/or indocyanine green dye in accordance with training, scope of practice, and organizational policy.
• Monitor patients during and following angiography and promptly communicate any concerns or potential adverse reactions to the appropriate clinical team member.
• Review images for quality, accuracy, and completeness before physician interpretation.
• Accurately label, save, archive, and transfer diagnostic images to the appropriate imaging system and/or patient medical record.
• Partner closely with  Retina Specialists, ophthalmic technicians, and clinical team members to support efficient patient flow and high-quality care.
• Clean, maintain, and perform basic troubleshooting of imaging equipment.
• Follow all established infection prevention, patient safety, HIPAA, and organizational policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support clinical operations and patient care.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong technical aptitude and ability to learn and operate specialized ophthalmic imaging equipment.
• Ability to consistently capture clear, accurate, diagnostic-quality images.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Excellent communication and patient-service skills.
• Ability to explain procedures clearly and help patients feel comfortable throughout testing.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with physicians, clinical staff, and office leadership.
• Willingness and ability to travel regularly between assigned OCLI Vision locations.

• Previous  ophthalmology, retina, ophthalmic photography, or diagnostic imaging experience .
• Experience with  Heidelberg Spectralis and/or Optos imaging systems.
• Experience performing  OCT, FA, ICG, fundus photography, or other retinal diagnostic imaging .
• Previous experience supporting Retina Specialists.
• Venipuncture experience.
• Ophthalmic certification such as  CRA, COA, COT, OCT-C, or another relevant certification .
• Knowledge of ocular pharmacology, including  anesthetics, steroids, antibiotics, mydriatics, cycloplegics, epinephrine, miotics, and non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medications .

• Home Location: Woodbury, NY
• This is a  traveling role , and regular travel between designated OCLI Vision locations is an essential function of the position.
• Must be willing and able to travel as needed to  Astoria, Bushwick, East Setauket, Garden City, Huntington, Manhasset, Mineola, Oceanside, Patchogue, and Richmond Hill .
• Work location and travel frequency may vary based on  business needs, provider schedules, and patient-care needs .
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule.
• Schedule may include  late evenings and Saturdays .
