Job Title: On-Call Cook

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and dependable On-Call Cook to prepare high-quality meals in a safe and efficient kitchen environment. This position is designated as on-call, but employees can expect to work up to 40 hours per week based on operational needs. Candidates with open availability are highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook, and present meals according to recipes and menu specifications.
• Ensure food quality, consistency, and portion control standards are maintained.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen environment.
• Monitor food inventory and notify management of supply needs.
• Follow proper food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures.
• Assist with receiving, storing, and rotating food products.
• Support kitchen team members during peak service periods.

Essential Skills

• Previous cooking or kitchen experience required.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
• Ability to follow recipes and prepare meals in a timely manner.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in foodservice, food prep, line cook, and dishwasher roles.

Work Environment

This role offers an on-call schedule with up to 40 hours per week available, requiring open availability, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Be prepared to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Maryville, MO.

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $23.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

This is a fully onsite position in Maryville,MO.
